Quality of Life
I have championed parks, civic participation, and safety because these services support health, relationships and lifelong success for Crystal. As a previous Park and Recreation Advisory Commission member, I support updating and maintaining our 26 parks — along with vibrant recreation activities. As a Charter Commission member, I work to maintain a strong city constitutional structure that benefits all.
Crystal attracts families from many cultures. I encourage all neighbors to get involved and participate with inclusive civic efforts, such as Night To Unite or serving on one of Crystal’s commissions. Sharing our rich heritage and culture strengthens relationships, opens opportunities, and builds neighborhood pride. This race is non-partisan and I respect people from all (or no) political parties. I am not seeking endorsements from any partisan groups – because this position should represent you, and what we believe is best for our city.
My husband and I eagerly moved to Crystal 23 years ago after meeting city staff and learning more about our neighborhood’s safe history. While crime happens everywhere, Crystal’s police and fire work with neighbors to quickly respond and educate. I will work to boost neighborhood events and community relations with law enforcement. As connected neighbors, we keep an eye on each other while protecting with respect and dignity.

From popular, crowded restaurants to available spaces waiting for the next great business to open, my goal is to attract and help companies thrive in Crystal. Growth helps fund our city, employ neighbors, and gives us near-by places to shop, eat, bank, and more. Keeping Crystal an affordable place to live with responsible budgets is a main concern to many residents I’ve talked with, and my top priority.
If re-elected, I will continue being available on many channels to keep information flowing in both directions. Working for Crystal, communication is key to building relationships and sharing information. Everyone is welcome, every voice is heard.
